Lots of TVs held 2021 Chinese New Year Concerts, but why Hunan TV’s audience rate maintains 1st place again?
Hunan TV started to hold a new year’s eve concert in 2005 and evolved into an annual event for every big satellite TV in China.
Hunan TV, Zhejiang TV, Shanghai-based Dragon TV, and Jiangsu TV are currently China’s four most influential province-level satellite TV stations. They all held their own 2021 new year concert started on the last day of 2020 and lasted until the wee hours of the night.
The topics about the 2021 Chinese New Year Concerts have been coming to the fore on weibo for days. At 2021 00:01, there are 23 weibo hot search terms related to it. 13 of these 23 hot search terms are related to Hunan TV.
Although received many criticisms ( like there are too many advertisements and some artists were accused of false singing ), during the broadcasting time of 2021 Chinese New Year Concerts, Hunan TV’s audience rate still maintains the 1st place, and the rate is much higher than the other TVs.
One Guess
Why Hunan TV always attracts the most attention? I think one reason is there are so many audiences stick to Hunan TV since it has been the number 1 TV station for years.
The other most important factor I concern about is the traffic stars each TV invited. With the tremendous influence of millions of fans, traffic stars could easily get attention.
How does traffic stars related to the audience rate?
I cannot make any conclusion in this article because I could not control other factors. Let’s just find out and read it for fun.
It’s hard to define which star is a traffic star, so I use Baidu Index as a reference here. Baidu is the largest search engine in China, just like Google. If the star’s average search times per day is over 10000 in recent half a year, I will call him/her a traffic star.
